I guess now it’s time to reveal what’s mine

My heart is broken I’m walking on a thin line.

The word still haunts me I suppose it always will.

I promised it wouldn’t go this way but it decided it will.

The ones that are meant to help me,

Make me feel as though I’m not Ill enough.

Your meant to help me recover is stead of making me feel like your leaving me in the ruff.

No individual is the same, we all recover in different ways.

It eats away at our body’s it eats away at our brain,

Yet it still manages to teach us self hate.

It winds us up like a jack in the box,

When it’s finished its torture it realises the lock,

The anger builds up that shouldn’t be there

Making every day a battle, a wound, a fear.

It tells us we’re wrong, and we don’t deserve a thing.

Yet we’re wasting away it sees recovery as a sin.

It’s caused me confusion, it’s caused me pain

My hearts still broken to this day,

Fight or flight you’ll never win

I show it who’s boss like a strong women.

Although we are hurting it’ll finally fade,

And when it makes an appearance, we’ll know how to be saved.

It staged me in the back wounding me for life ,

That’s no excuse we’re all worthy enough to fight!

Understand your beauty and your worth,

Don’t let it win!

Strive to be the best version of you,

Cause happiness is found with in.

It is irrelevant, it doesn’t deserve a name.

So don’t let it beat you and defeat your aims!

Lots of love from,

Megan P
